Sonnet of SeparationSuddenly, laughter was sob Though quiet and pale as a fog Our lips, apart, dare utter naught Our arms unraveled in second thoughtsSonnet of Separation
And suddenly, calm was a gust That extinguished the once flaming gaze And, morose, your kiss had a sour taste That tore apart this masquerade
Suddenly, just so suddenly She was sad, who once was a lover And alone, he was lost in a bluster Sour in memory of one another
Such is life, this fallible fluttering Suddenly, just so suddenly

Law Abiding FolkAlong came a lawful citizen Respectable, doubtless he isLaw Abiding Folk
For he knows well to be diligent In his efforts to steer clear of sin
He goes to his fellows by day And thinks evil of others by night And with blinkers he goes on his way So's to not see through his own disguise
His lowliness harbours his lies And solace his rituals grant As if righteous appearance should shrive The most sinful and treacherous man
Ah, the ways of the Lord and the laws of men So the flock may sin in the shepherd's name

The Henry CardNow last night I ran into this guy that used to live at the Victoria about one year ago. These days, I'm the only one who can actually even speak about one year ago, and, to be practical, I should really go ahead and say way back in the day because everyone else in the room was then at a distant place, probably never even knowing they would be here now. So let's call this guy Henry, like the hoover, for the sake of convenience. Way back in the day, he used to work for our late Hyde Park hostel (one Hyde Park away from the site our very, very current Hyde Park hostel), and times were crazy. Waves of people came across from thThe Henry Card

Account Of A MeetingHow many times have I seen her ghost on Victoria Street, or searched among the hundreds of people watching the train times in Victoria Station? Or cycled by The Feathers and the Old Star. Through Queen Anne's Gate into St. James's, to look at that little house on the lake. In the night, just to vainly reproduce the feeling of love, like a deaf man nodding to the vibrations of music. And I always thought it would be the day I stop searching that I would finally find her. And then at the very same Sainsbury's I visit almost every day, there she is, looking at bottles of South African wine. I get the same old startling feelingAccount Of A Meeting
